This place is awesome, and I can't believe I didn't notice it until today, when I left the bank lol! I had the Poke bowl with tuna, which was delicious, and fresh! Welcoming, friendly, and gracious service, beautifully crafted presentation, generous portion, and good prices are some of the things that make this take out place a new favorite! Make sure to have cash or Venmo, or go to the atm at the bank across the street! I will def return to the Pop Up Cafe!

I have ordered from this place via door dash and today I decided to stop by. I'm impressed it's a one man operation managed by the owner. I love the beef stew. It's flavorful and you can tell this soup was tended to for a long time. The soup is like a hug from someone you missed the most.

By far the BEST bahn mi joint in all of Philadelphia. And it's located in Queen's Village by the Italian-Mexican markets. How convenient! They've got the most unique options ranging from lemongrass pork (my fav) to birria bahn mi (yes, it comes with the soup as all birria should. Dip it & eat it for a flavor smorgasbord). They also have Pho, papaya salad, poke salad, and more! Did I mention they make fresh smoothies, too?? They do! Run by Danny & his dad, it has a warm hole-in-the-wall vibe, which makes you feel like you just stumbled upon Philly's best kept secret. No cap. You did. The prices are reasonable. The food is served hot & made fresh daily. The baguette is so crispy & soft. Ugh. There is not enough good things I can say about Pop-Up Cafe. They accept cash & venmo (sorry no card), with a slight upcharge on all venmo purchases. But that hasn't stopped me from ordering here on the regular & paying by venmo consistently. If you're in the area & on a budget, or down to try something new, flavorful, and filling, stop by Pop-Up Cafe. You you would be remiss if you missed the chance to do so.

Such a good spot, would definitely recommend! There were quite a few great vegetarian/vegan options, and the chili tofu banh mi was SO good. Can't wait to come back and try some more of their menu!

Pop Up makes addictive banh mi. The pork and tofu are great (pork is on the salty side). When we have had the chance to try more I will pass along.

Ordered lemongrass tofu with rice and it was fire it came with a cup of soup at a reasonable price. Visiting from an area with a plethora of authentic Vietnamese restaurants and I’d say this place is on par with them, highly recommended!

Came here with a friend for lunch and the food was both VERY reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. I got a mango-jackfruit smoothie and tried some of my friend's lemongrass tofu - both were fantastic. Will absolutely come back if I'm in Philly again!
